Bell’s palsy
Bell’s palsy is a condition in which muscles on one side of your face are weakened or paralyzed. A damaged facial nerve that is responsible for controlling muscles on one side of the face causes that side to droop. In addition, the nerve damage may also affect a person’s sense of taste and production of saliva and tears. The onset of this condition is sudden, but usually gets better on its own within a few weeks.
Symptoms: Symptoms of Bell’s palsy include drooling, eye problems, loss of ability to taste, pain in or behind your ear, increased sensitivity to sound, numbness in the affected side of your face, and the main symptom is sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of your face.
