Peripheral neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition in which one’s peripheral nerves (the ones in your toes and fingertips) are damaged. The damage causes the nerves to function improperly, leading to decreased or abnormal sensation in the periphery of the body, and may also result in problems with moving these parts of the body.
Symptoms: Peripheral neuropathy has various symptoms, depending on which types of nerves it affects. Signs and symptoms include burning pain, extreme sensitivity to touch, lack of coordination, muscle weakness, numbness and tingling in your feet, sharp or electric-like pain.
